That’s the $64,000 question — right? But, is $64,000 the right amount? Game shows aside, how do we “know” what is the right size gift for a specific donor?
To find out the answer, join me on Step 6: Asking About Amount, as we continue climbing the 10 Step Staircase. (We skipped Step 5, Asking about Form, but it’s covered in depth in the book.)
This topic can be the most delicate discussion you and a donor will have. In today’s video, I reveal how your preparation can foster a comfortable, fruitful conversation for you and the donor.
You’ll notice I make reference to using a gift chart. The sample I share in the video goes by pretty fast, so I am making it available for you to download here. The gift chart provides a truly valuable context as donors determine the right amount for their own personal contribution.
I’d love to hear about the results you achieve as you ask more donors about their amount.
Until next week…..
Enjoy!
