Do you know why your donors give?

climbing10stepsLast week, I introduced Steps 1 and 2 of the 10 Step Staircase, getting acquainted and introducing the project.  I shared some questions that I think you’ll find helpful in the early stages of asking about asking.

Today, we’re focused on Step 3: asking about giving.  This step is one of my favorites, as you have the opportunity to connect with your donor on a much deeper level–by asking a question they rarely, if ever, hear.

In the video below, I share the question I find most helpful on Step 3.  Plus, this week’s video has a bonus: the permission question, which I encourage you to ask in one of your early conversations with your prospects.
