Can you find me at the AFP Conference?

My bags are (nearly) packed and I’m already excited about joining my colleagues later this week in San Francisco.  The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ 54th International Fundraising Conference starts in just a few days! I love the energy of AFP Conferences and I can’t wait to see what I’ll learn this time.

One of the things I enjoy most about these conferences is the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful professionals. I get to see longtime friends and colleagues and make new connections with people from all over the world. And this year, I have a special offer, just for the fun of it!

If you “Find Kent” in San Francisco during the conference, you win! (Look for the tall, smiling guy in the cowboy hat.) Just hand me your business card or drop it off after my speaking session. You’ll get a special gift from me AND you’ll be invited to an exclusive webinar on May16*. We’ll explore how everything is either Governance or Not Governance.

Only those who connect with me at the conference will be invited to attend! So, bring your business cards and make sure you “Find Kent”!

If you don’t find me exploring the halls of the convention center, drop in on my session, “Fundraising Events and Major Gifts – How Do We Get from One to the Other?” on Monday, May 1 from 3:15 to 4:45. Come and learn what a successful event really is and discover how to leverage your special event into larger gifts as part of your overall fundraising plan.

Remember to drop off your business card after the session, if I haven’t connected with you yet, so you’ll be invited to my webinar!

Can’t wait to see you there!

*The webinar topic is “Whose Job is it Anyway?” We’ll cover the 5 organizational roles, who does what and how to constructively handle someone overstepping their role. Knowing the 5 roles frees everyone to do their job AND frees everyone from doing everybody else’s job!
P.S. If you’re not attending the conference this year, please forward this invitation to someone who is. Thanks!
