Why do we need to tell stories?

storytelling1 Last month, I visited Columbus, Ohio, to spend some time with my friend John Millen preparing for our new course, “Storytelling For Analytical Leaders.”  We had a great time and are both so excited to roll out the program in Las Vegas this week!

This workshop addresses the skills necessary to tell your organization’s story in a compelling way. Strong analytical leaders provide great stability, but sometimes the focus on pure numbers and data can inhibit people from passionately conveying  how they feel about the mission and the people they serve.

We can help.  Over the course of two days, John and I train leaders to build the communication skills they need to engage with their most important audiences. We kick-off in Las Vegas, with our second workshop in Columbus, Ohio on February 17-18.

Will you join us in Columbus? Or, would you be interested in bringing this brand new, innovative program to a city near you?  You can contact John’s team to begin that process, or simply respond to this email and let me know what you’re thinking.

John is also experimenting with video as a storytelling tool. He took this video of our preparation.  I’m not sure what story we’re telling, but I think you’ll get a sense of the fun and energy that we’re both bringing to this project. Watch the video, and we hope to see you at Storytelling for the Analytical Leader very soon!

Sincerely,
